The AKERA Retreat Center
AKERA is a 123-acre retreat center located in the scenic Catskill Mountains, just two hours from New York City. The property features diverse landscapes, including forest trails, a peaceful lake, and open countryside, creating a tranquil environment for visitors.
Designed as a space for connection and exploration, AKERA provides ceremonial grounds and areas for relaxation and rejuvenation. Its setting offers a chance to experience the natural beauty of the region, with abundant wildlife and opportunities to unwind in harmony with nature.

Jeni Carbonara
With 22 years of personal yoga practice, over 1,000 hours of training, and 9 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people can deepen their connection to mind, body, and spirit.
I’m especially excited to share this spring retreat with you in the serene Catskill Mountains. Retreats provide a rare and powerful opportunity to pause, recharge, and reconnect with yourself and others in a supportive, inspiring environment. Together, we’ll explore energizing and restorative practices, enjoy nourishing meals, and embrace the peaceful beauty of nature to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. Pricing and Accommodations
Starting at $1650 for shared accommodations, including a twin bed in a shared room with a shared bathroom
Queen or king-sized beds / private rooms with option for double occupancy are available for an additional cost—contact us for details
Initial deposit of $500 required to confirm your spot
Meals
Meals are included and will be vegetarian, with dairy-free and gluten-free options
Healthy GF/vegetarian snacks, coffee, and tea are available throughout the retreat
Every lodging has a private kitchen area where attendees can store any food they wish to bring

2) Choose Your Accommodations
All participants will be placed in shared rooms unless otherwise requested. If you’d like a private room (additional charges apply) or prefer to share a room with specific participants, please let Jeni know!
3) Confirm Your Booking
Once we’ve received the initial deposit from you, we’ll send you a confirmation of your spot in the retreat!

Yes, private rooms are available for an additional cost. If you’d like to request specific rooming arrangements or share a room with certain participants, please let Jeni know when reserving your spot, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

The price includes accommodations, regular programming and all meals as described in the retreat details. Extra charges apply to optional programming, such as the rock climbing excursion.

Your initial deposit is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to the retreat. Afterwards the deposit becomes non-refundable but can be transferred to another participant.
The remaining balance is due 30 days before the retreat and is non-refundable. Failure to submit payment by this deadline may result in cancellation of your booking.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the retreat for operational or commercial reasons, all payments will be refunded in full.

Yes, meals will be vegetarian and feature both gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Every lodging has a private kitchen area where attendees can store any food they may wish to bring.

You are responsible for arranging your own transportation to the retreat. We encourage carpooling with other attendees and are happy to assist in connecting you with others for shared travel arrangements.

Yoga Gear: Bring your yoga mat.
Clothing: Pack season-appropriate attire, layers, a bathing-suit, and comfortable shoes for trails.
Personal Items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, razor, and any toiletries or medications you need. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels.
Outdoor Essentials: Bug spray, sunblock, and a raincoat or umbrella.
What’s Provided: Bedding, towels, and bath essentials are included—no need to pack these!

Guests are expected to refrain from any behavior that may harm, threaten, or infringe upon the rights of others or the organizer. Any actions that negatively impact the retreat experience or its operations are not permitted.By attending the retreat, you agree to follow these expectations, helping to create a positive experience for all involved. Violations of these guidelines may result in immediate dismissal from the retreat without refund.
